On February 20th, 2025, a radon awareness lecture was held in Santander as part of the University Continuing Education Course for Cave Guides. The session was delivered by Professor Dr. Luis Quindos from the University of Cantabria and gathered around 20 course participants.
The initiative took place within the framework of the European project LeaRn4LIFE, which aims to reduce the risks associated with radon exposure through training, awareness, and applied research.
The lecture focused on the risks associated with radon exposure in underground environments, particularly in tourist caves, as well as on preventive and monitoring measures tailored to this professional activity.
