1st Edition of the LeaRn4LIFE Training Programmes | Spain

Following the 1st edition of the LeaRn4LIFE training programmes in Portugal, the courses were also delivered in Spain at the Environmental Radioactivity Laboratory of ENUSA Industrias Avanzadas, in Salamanca. As in Portugal, the initiative included three training courses aimed at different professional profiles and sectors linked to the radon field.

The programmes covered topics related to radon exposure, monitoring, risk communication, prevention and remediation, combining both theoretical and practical components. The programme also included sessions delivered by Portuguese partners and stakeholders of the LeaRn4LIFE project, reinforcing knowledge exchange and cooperation between Portugal and Spain.

As part of Course 3, participants travelled to Portugal for a technical visit to the Urgeiriça Mining Complex and Chalet Aurora, where they were able to observe practical examples of monitoring and remediation measures implemented within the LeaRn4LIFE project.

The delivery of the training programmes in both Portugal and Spain represented an important step in strengthening professional capacity and knowledge transfer in the field of radon, reinforcing cooperation between project partners and supporting the dissemination of the project's results.
